Ulnar nerve subluxation<\/strong>\u00a0occurs when the\u00a0ulnar nerve slips out<\/strong>\u00a0from its normal position within the\u00a0cubital tunnel<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0located on the inner side of the elbow. This typically happens during\u00a0elbow flexion<\/strong>\u00a0(bending the elbow), causing the nerve to move forward out of the tunnel. When the elbow is\u00a0extended<\/strong>\u00a0(straightened), the nerve often returns to its original position.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Each time the ulnar nerve shifts in and out of place, it can suffer damage, leading to\u00a0neuropathy<\/strong>. This condition shares symptoms with\u00a0cubital tunnel syndrome<\/strong>. The\u00a0definitive treatment<\/strong>\u00a0for ulnar nerve subluxation is\u00a0surgery<\/strong>, where the nerve is\u00a0released and repositioned to the front of the elbow<\/strong>\u00a0to prevent further damage.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
